United's young ranks

In 1989, while most students were returning home from elementary school to watch Disney Afternoon, Adu was born in Ghana. When 14-year-old sensation Freddy Adu joined the D.C. United this season, he became the youngest player in Major League Soccer history. He is also the highest paid player, who signed a $500 thousand a year contract.

AU serves up GW on Senior Day

Senior day signifies the end of one moment in life and the beginning of another. At AU on Saturday morning, Seniors Kristina Georgieva and Katarina Kollarova were presented with flowers, hugs and good lucks before their final home match against George Washington University. After the ceremony, the Women's Tennis team stepped up to the net with racket in hand and sent the seniors off properly, defeating the Colonials, 4-3.

Eagles cannonball Howard

Onward and upward for the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams as they crushed crosstown rival Howard University in the last home dual meet of the season. The squad swept every event except one, winning 13 events overall.

Top 10 Rejected AU Sports Slogans

Looking around the NCAA sports world, it's clear that AU lacks something that so many successful sports programs have. A slogan. Kansas fans rally around "rock chalk Jayhawk." Penn State and Alabama students echo cries of "We are Penn State" and "Roll Tide," respectively.

Web exclusive: Cross Country runs past NCAAs

The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams made their presence felt at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday, Nov. 15 in Lock Haven, Pa. The Men's side finished fourth overall with senior Matt Seymour leading the way. He finished first for the Eagles placing tenth overall with a time of 30:53.
