Considering his role in the high-profile film "The Ladykillers," a remake of a classic film, in which he appears alongside the legendary Tom Hanks and under the direction of the infamous Coen Brothers, surely Wayans might be worried that he was out of his league.

Breaking News: McNair officially hired

Mike McNair, acting director of Public Safety, can put aside his acting career after being named the permanent director Thursday. Pat Kelshian, executive director of Risk Management and Safety Services, released a memo Thursday, announcing McNair's appointment after a four-month search to replace Colleen Carson, who left the University just prior to Thanksgiving.

WAMU holds first on-air fundraising drive

WAMU held its first on-air fundraising drive since its management change in December 2003. The drive was held Feb. 27 through March 5 with a fundraising goal of $800,000. WAMU began the drive with the message: "We're still here, we're still producing great programming, and we still really need you," according to David Taylor, interim executive director of WAMU "We think it was really successful," Taylor said.

The Offspring: Aging punks offer tired LP

The Offspring used to be categorized along with bands like Green Day and blink-182 as one of the original pop punk bands and it still is in some sense. Its new album begs to differ. "Hit That," the first single off the Offspring's latest contribution to the music world, sounds like a joke on first listen. Luckily the rest of the 12 songs off this CD are significantly better than "Hit That," although that's not really saying much.
