Media and real-estate mogul Donald Trump wants to buy the naming rights to the Ward Circle Building, according to Media Relations representative Della DeAngelopolis. Trump is currently in negotiations with AU's Board of Trustees and held a meeting yesterday to talk about donations.
"I want to offer $650 million to name the building," Trump said, covertly adjusting his hairpiece. "And I want the building to be named the 'Wart Circle Building."
After Trump stopped guffawing, board member Star Jones criticized Trump's choice of name, saying that it was "immature, gross and offensive to people who have to live with warts."
Student representatives who sat in on the meeting argued that $650 million was nothing to sneeze at and that the money was worth a rather unorthodox name. The money could be put toward scholarships, preventing tuition from getting higher, and seeking out and hiring qualified professors, the students added.
The trustees replied with a simple, characteristic, "Nah," to which Trump responded, "You're fired"
