Exclusively Online: Endowment goes to TDR

Clawed and student leaders worked with Bon Appetit to raise Eagle Endowment Fund for Public and Community Service, which gives grants as great as $1,000 to students and clubs that want to start community service projects, according to sophomore Mark Seaman, executive director of the Eagle Endowment.

Students seeking money for college now have an alternative to scholarships and traditional financial aid, and it can found on the Internet. Karen Kelly, a student at the Northwestern California School of Law, founded a Web site in September called StarvingStudentScholarships .

Insane fans greet clowns

A line of painted faces filled the sidewalks bordering Nation Tuesday night as the Wicked Wonka tour came to D.C. On the bill were Insane Clown Posse, Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, the Kottonmouth Kings and Tech Nin9. In spite of the numerous major-label acts appearing on the tour, it was clear that most of the crowd was there to see the Insane Clown Posse.

If AU's fundraising campaign "A New AU" reaches its goal, the School of International Service will have a completely new building, the McKinley building will be renovated for the School of Communication and the Experimental Theatre will become an extension to the Kogod School of Business.

Best Buy opens doors to AU

The much-anticipated Best Buy store at 4500 Wisconsin Ave. in Tenleytown opened Friday. The store, which sells movies, CDs, video games and appliances, is the first major electronics retailer in the District. It is also the only D.C. store among the 550 Best Buys nationwide.

Lady Eagles dribble past Bucknell

AU did its part to keep its PL title hopes alive on Saturday, thwarting host Bucknell 3-0 behind two goals and one assist from senior midfielder Anabel Jimenez. The win pushes the Eagles to 8-6-1 overall, and 5-1 in the PL.
