All American Auction to benefit Class of 2004
The Class of 2004 will host the All American Auction, which will give students the opportunity to bid on gifts or talents offered by AU's administration and faculty to raise money for the Senior Class Gift.
The auction will be held at 3 p.m. in the Tavern on Sunday, Nov. 16.
"This is a big AU family thing more than anything else," said Senior Class Gift Co-chair Brie DeFelice.
Auctionees and gifts include salsa lessons with Serjio Acevedo, resident director of Leonard Hall; Washington Capitals hockey tickets from government professor Gregg Ivers; a seat at the Greenberg Theatre, worth $1,000, to be auctioned by Julie Weber, executive director of Housing and Dining Programs; and lunch for four students hosted by President Ladner and his wife, Nancy.
"There were some professors who didn't know what to do, but they got creative," DeFelice said.
Other participants include professors from the five schools, campus resident directors, student activities staff and members of the Student Confederation.
"The administration and faculty are really excited about having the opportunity to get involved with the students," DeFelice said. "We want to get everyone to come out and have a good time."
EagleBuck$ will be accepted, and all proceeds will go to the Senior Class Gift of fully renovating the Letts-Anderson quad.
