Don't you love it when you accidentally come across a new song and shortly after start obsessing over it? We at The Eagle love it. So every week, staff members will reveal what songs they're currently in love with to lessen the time before your next obsession.

It may seem a bit premature to start seeking the perfect apartment for next year, with on-campus room selection beginning on Feb. 26 the time to talk housing is quickly approaching. Finding the right apartment can make or break a school year, and as on-campus housing can be very pricey, students are often opting to take up residence in the dozens of apartment buildings in the AU area.

“American Horror Story”- Season 3, Episode 1: “Bitchcraft”

Kathy Bates’ (“Misery”) character Madame LeLaurie torturing her black slaves in horrifying
ways, ending with a gang rape of Emma Roberts’ character, the movie star Madison
Montgomery.

As college students, we are usually either hungry, tired, horny and/or stressed out. Under these
conditions, our decision making skills are often clouded – let’s be serious, you didn’t need that
cheesecake after your five course meal at TDR.

1: Mary Graydon Center Redesign
Honestly, the new MGC is fine - but only if you're waiting for your grandmother to come out of triage. The color scheme of yellow, light blue and maroon could not be more sterile for our burgeoning college spirits. The glass doors of the Tavern almost make us feel like we're entering the dentist's office, and certainly nobody can eat their hearts out there.

Summer is over, but that doesn't mean the fun has to be. From the looks of upcoming museum and concert offerings, fall promises to be a great time to be in the District for new and returning students alike.

1. www.grocerylists.org
Wacky dude Bill Keaggy has amassed more than 700 grocery lists. How they wind up in his hands is rather mysterious: people find them and mail them to him, or he collects them from parking lots and linoleum floors of grocery stores. Laugh at the typos (the word "banana" daunts just about everyone) or the bizarre items people feel they need, and closely examine these various specimens of human culture. With pages and pages of grocery lists, humorously organized into "Top 10 favorites" with witty quips, there are enough distractions to last till May.

It was never clearer until Monday evening that members of the Davenport Coffee Lounge staff appear to actually live there. The tell-tale signs were all too clear: One Dav staffer draped herself over an entire couch while complaining about a Peace and Conflict Resolution reading assignment, despite several patrons sheepishly looking for seats; another was frolicking back and forth between the bookshelves and entryway while humming obscure indie rock; and a third was snoozing conspicuously at a back table, a copy of a really intellectual-looking book draped over her lap.

Whether or not you're 100 percent Irish-Catholic and from Boston, or claim heritage from Spain and live in Santa Fe, N.M., it seems like everyone has a little bit of Irish to claim on St. Patrick's Day. This bountiful day falls in the category of random holidays we are all lucky to celebrate together here at AU, mostly because no one is truly justified in going home on the premise of drinking green beer with his or her parents (okay, so that's probably untrue). Nonetheless, like Valentine's Day and Halloween, the Eagle is here to provide you a quick look at some of the options out there for partying, eating and drinking like a leprechaun and maybe even some trivia, too!

1. "COPS"
Everything about this show is good, from its theme song to the addict who claims he hasn't done crack since his birthday (which happened to be two days ago). One of the pioneering reality TV shows, "COPS" has been on the air for 17 years. The show is so popular that it has spawned many DVD special editions and has shown "bad boys" what happens "when they come for you."

1. NASCAR
Sunday's Daytona 500 kicked off NASCAR's incredible nine-month-long season. The Great American Race came complete with performances by washed-up musicians like Five for Fighting and Vanessa Williams, and people dancing around American flags shaped like the good ol' U.S. of A. And the actual races are equally as entertaining. What could be better than watching more than 100,000 people watch a bunch of cars drive around a circle?
