For Canadian rockers Japandroids, D.C. and the 9:30 Club have a special place in their heart. Guitarist and lead vocalist Brian King dedicated the duo’s final song of the night, and biggest hit, “The House that Heaven Built,” to the venue’s crew, who he said had been tremendous over the band’s 48-hour soldout stay on Feb. 27 and 28.

Up and coming EDM artist Shaun Frank spun an eclectic mix at D.C. nightclub Soundcheck on Nov. 11. The Canadian DJ, singer and producer showed his wide range of influences, including electro, house, hip-hop and pop. Frank demonstrated his ability to remix various genres of music and kept the energy on the dance floor high all through his set.

Lucius is a Brooklyn-based indie pop band comprised of lead singers Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, along with Andrew Burri, Dan Molad and Peter Lalish.
