600,000 PSPs sold in first week Sony Computer Entertainment America said 600,000 PSPs were sold in the first week of availability after the game console was launched on March 24, creating $150 million in revenue. Sony had anticipated selling all 1 million systems shipped to North America in 24 hours, but analysts said the launch was still a solid one.

Gritty new comic redefines DC superhero universe

The countdown has begun and a superhero will die. DC Comics released "Countdown to Infinite Crisis" on March 30, the introduction to a brand-new universe-wide storyline that the company said would seriously impact the company's Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman books.

Former V.P. candidate speaks about tackling U.S. poverty

Since his term in the U.S. Senate and subsequent bid for the vice presidency, Edwards has become the director for the Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Golf Dominates Field At Lafayette Invitational

Playing in their fifth tournament in six weeks the team dominated Lafayette Invitational, earning their first win of the season by six strokes with a team score of 595.

Campus Brief: Inganamort gets D.C. position

The AU political machine stretched one step further on Saturday night, as junior Mike Inganamort was named chairman of the D.C. Federation of College Republicans. Inganamort, president of the AU College Republicans and former political columnist for The Eagle in 2004, was elected unanimously by the federation, which is composed of College Republican chapters from AU, Georgetown University, George Washington University, Howard University and the Catholic University of America.

Mount ticket sweeps RHA exec elections

Will Mount was elected president of the Residence Hall Association with 54.7 percent of the vote, and executive positions went to other members of his joint ticket, its board of elections announced Thursday. Cynthia Purekal was elected vice president of programming, Michelle Reich won vice president of administration and finance, and Adam Poulemanos will be vice president of advocacy and community coordination.

Men's Tennis again secures regular season title Men's Tennis (13-3, 5-0 Patriot League) upset No. 67 Army and beat Colgate on the road as it clinched home-court advantage in the PL Championships four the fourth-consecutive year. AU's Sebastien Proisy survived a three-set battle (6-3, 4-6, 6-3) in what proved to be the deciding match in Saturday's narrow 4-3 decision over the Black Knights (16-4, 3-1).

Democrats don straw hats for hoedown

The amphitheater was filled with barbecue, bluegrass music and donkey-shaped pi¤atas getting whacked to pieces at the College Democrats' "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" hoedown Saturday night. "The purpose of the hoedown is to have a College Dems event on campus that's purely social, not political," said Ashley Mushnick, the group's newly elected president.
