Your parents are here for the weekend and after all the ups and downs of the semester, you’re probably really excited to see them again. But after the reunion hugs and kisses, you’re left with the question: what do I do with them for an entire weekend?
All throughout October, The Synetic Theatre in Crystal City will perform “The Island of Dr. Moreau,” a dazzling play about compassion, ethics and the dangers of tinkering with biological science. Based on the H.G. Wells book, this play leaves a haunting warning to audiences that has already resonated throughout generations.

The Gilbert C. Eastman theater at Gallaudet University presented the opening night of William Shakespeare’s “Titus Andronicus” on May 30. Faction of Fools Theatre Company adapted Shakespeare’s original play “Titus Andronicus” in a way that twisted the gruesome, murderous lines of the script into a straight-up crude comedy. The play is still as tragic as Shakespeare had written it to be, yet with everyone in the audience smiling and giggling as they gleefully make their way past the dark, blood-soaked stage.
