Fueled by a half time talk from head coach Todd West, AU pulled past Bucknell University on Saturday afternoon, scoring three goals in twelve minutes to earn another conference victory. The Eagles started slow, showing signs of the offensively stymied team who has scored only two goals in the last three games.

Bear Grylls grew to fame with his popular TV show “Man vs. Wild," where he went into the wilderness and showed his audience how to survive with bare necessities. In “The Island,” Grylls’ new show, 14 men travel to a deserted island and work together to survive. Many people in the U.K. watch “The Island” and the show has made its way into the U.S. as an American adaptation. The first episode aired on May 25, 2015 on NBC. “The Island” differs from other reality shows because it offers no prizes, eliminations or winner and is filmed entirely by the participants themselves.
Although I say this all the time, June is the best time for sports fans. Out of the four major leagues in the US (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB) two are playing their championship series, one is in full swing and the other is about to start their training camps. On top of that, the Women’s World Cup is happening. What a time to be alive. Here’s what I saw this week in sports.
An AU student sustained minor injuries in an assault reported to Public Safety on May 16. The assault occurred in the male locker room of Jacobs Fitness Center at approximately 5:00 p.m, according to a Crime Alert.

With a new internal structure and programing, the student-run Green Eagle sustainability advocacy program is moving its outreach from the residence halls to the entire campus.
This summer, a group of 11 AU students will travel to Tamil Nadu, India on an alternative break trip through the Center for Community Engagement and Service despite the fact that AU’s volunteering partner is nearly self-sustaining.

Since 2008, over 400 individual AU professors have been certified as “green” teachers. For the 2014-2015 academic year, 141 faculty members have been certified.
The Eagles traveled up the snow filled coast to West Point, New York to face the United States Military Academy (Army) Black Knights Feb. 22. The last place Black Knights delivered the latest blow to the Eagles season, winning 72-63.
