My name is Deepak Bhagat and I am running for vice president of the class of 2016 in the Student Government Class Council Elections.
I'm a political science major and I am from Newtown Square, Penn. In high school, I was very involved with the various goings-on and was a very affable person who ran and helped in campaigns for student council.
After this past fall election for the class of 2016, I realized that I should have run based on both my connections within the student body and my concerns that students did not know everything that was discussed. They deserved the right to be in the loop, being in a democracy.
In a nutshell, my platform involves certain topics such as: tuition; financial aid; unification of all of SG to work collaboratively and come to terms with what can conceivably be done to benefit the school; and that being a government elected by the students, SG is responsible to let the students know what is being done on certain issues and work for them.

Don't forget to vote on April 2 and 3 on your AU Portal!
Deepak Bhagat is a freshman in the School of Political Affairs.
