Eagle Rants Jan. 20

•Can someone fully explain what the Founders Day Ball is? I can't find an explanation anywhere. How formal is it (what should I wear)? How much are tickets? Does everyone go? AAAHHH. Signed, Confused & Overwhelmed Freshman

•Is it bad that I actually really don't want to see everybody before I go abroad this semester? I mean... I have only a few days left in DC and I'd much rather spend them alone. Also I really need to finish the food in my fridge and can't be meeting someone for every lunch and dinner till I leave.

•@Dear people complaining about grammar corrections.... Even though you used "their" correctly, you failed to use a the colon correctly. It should have been a semi-colon, and the only reason i'm telling you this is so you can recognize that people make mistakes and don't always thoroughly edit their quickly-written eagle rants. Get off your high horse and stop flooding the eagle rants with your corrections, they are annoying.

•RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

•Tim McBride uses the automatic door openers. Discuss.

•Pumped Up Kicks is about Columbine. I thought everyone knew that...

•@pumped up kicks questioner the song is about the Columbine shooting. so...

•My heart belongs with the lovely ladies of Lambda Lambda Seahorse.

•Gee professors, I would have really appreciated it if you had told us what books we needed for class BEFORE class started. Now I need books before Monday? GREAT.

•Today i showed up for my first day of business 1.0. Unfortunately at the end of the class I was informed that I am unable to take this class because I am Junior. Well tell me before I spend the money on your non-returnable book and pay you for my extra credits. If your private business refuses to take my money then I will give it to another. Nice business practices Kogod!

•I regret not dancing with you at a party back in September and saying "no thanks"...but I kind of just wanted to talk to you. Please come say hi if you see me!

•@ George Strait lover: You're not alone! I listen to him every day. His music reminds me of my best friend. :)

•Are people really already asking to be covered for Phonathon and we haven't even had one shift yet! Come on people don't "work" if you're not gonna work. (This is not a supervisor)

•Thank god for amazon prime or else I'd be really out of luck on these last minute required books.

•I'd rather feel guilty whore after a one-night stand, than get in too deep with a guy that just wants to sleep with me.

•feel *like a guilty whore

•@ "I correct grammar because it demeans the value of my own education to have my fellow schoolmates going around sounding like trailer trash. But I’ll try to be nicer about it when I correct people and not hurt anyone’s tender “feelings”." You may have good grammar, but your sentence structure and punctuation usage are awful. The "But" turns your second sentence into a poor-sounding fragment, as you need a comma after or before "But;" you also placed the period OUTSIDE the quote. Before you correct others, correct yourself. :p

•can freshmen go to the founder's day ball? Or is it sort of taboo?

•Dear girl who claims to have had 4 male suitors this fall. You must be lucky and extremely attractive because there are no nice boys at AU. You must sorely mistaken. How low are your standards?

•WTF LIBRARY CAN YOU AT LEAST HAVE A FUNCTIONING STAPLER NOT ONE OF THESE MIDGET ONES????

•I'm a tease and I love it.. muahahahah

•I got in a car crash. No one was hurt, but now I'm scared of driving. :(

•Why are none of the news sources reporting how the 11 people on the Costa Concordia died? 3 died from jumping into the water from too high up. At least 5 drowned in enclosed spaces. But what about the others? Why are we being left in the dark? Were they trampled to death? Murdered? Crushed with furniture? Cause of death is very important in disaster cases and the public deserves to know.

•I HATE YOU EAGLESECURE.

•Way to include a faulty link in the Founder's Day email AU. Goooooooood job.

•I'm dating the most wonderful sweetest guy I've ever met, I'm learning so much in my classes already, and I live in an amazing quasi-city (even if it is filled with crime lately). I love my life.

•Oh, hello phonathon dungeon. I've missed you (not)! But I have missed my paycheck, so we're just going to have to try to be friends.

•What other games besides words with friends and chess with friends are fun to play on iphones with long distance friends?

•I'm scared you won't love me anymore now that I'm getting fat.

•Does anyone else find it ridiculous that student government put THAT much effort into getting gender neutral housing? Id prefer them to try and change the alcohol policy.

•"I'm about to lose my mind. You've been gone for so long."

•I don't care that it's not quiet hours, your squealing is obnoxious and hearing it every hour of the day is killing me.

•First day of classes and I'm already swamped with work. Arg! Senior year! Y u so hard?

•One TDR hot dog led to a whole mess of problems. I will never eat a TDR hot dog again.

•Had an awkward moment where I realized it cost money to rush. So I panicked and ran out. The girl "helping" me was pretty rude about the whole thing.

•Snap back to reality. opp there goes gravity

•Literally had the worse TDR night of my life. THe worst. At least they make it easy to lose weight.

•So I've been hitting the gym the whole school year. You know, keeping fit. But now because all the random idiots think they're gonna get fit because it's a new year, they swarm the gym and my treadmills. Back off.

•You know the walls are thin when... You can hear your neighbors phone vibrating You can hear her snore You have to listen to her sing adele at volumes that should only be reached in private.

Rant here!
