• Is it just me, or has anybody else ever noticed the guy that is always lurking around the library and McDonalds? I am scared that he is living in the library during the week because I never see him walking to class but he's in the library EVERYDAY with a big jacket on! (even when it is 80 degrees outside...)

I understand that D.C. is notorious for strange fluctuations in the temperature at this time of year. But this is ridiculous. It is far too hot and muggy outside for me to be able to stand it. And then I go into my room, AND IT’S A SAUNA. Housing and Dining: Please DO NOT turn off the air conditioning sooo early. Every single night I wake up in the middle of the night dying of HEAT. The weather better start acting appropriately soon!!!! I CAN’T TAKE THIS MUCH LONGER.

• I love American University; I often walk across the quad thinking I'm in the greatest place on Earth. I love the splendor of the new SIS building and the shit given to Physics and Psychology majors in McKinley and Asbury. I love how our science departments bring down our rankings when they're the most intimate majors on campus - we get none of the assholes obsessed with names schools. I love the courses offered, the internship opportunities, and waiting in the cold for the AU shuttle. This is the best school in the world.

• Dear Davenport Coffee Lounge, You certainly get a lot of hate in these here eagle rants, so I thought I’d show you some love. I love you for your prices, your delicious drinks, and your ability to not break down and cry when 40 people come in and order complicated drinks at 3:30 p.m and all expect to be in and out in five minutes. Also, I find all of you to be extremely attractive, but that might be my caffeine addiction talking. Anyway, thanks, Dav, for everything. I have a bunch of quarters for you. • The first rule of AU pedestrians is: You walk on the right side of the path/stairs/double doors. The second rule of AU pedestrians is: You walk on the RIGHT SIDE of the path/stairs/double doors. The third rule of AU pedestrians is: Groups must move over to the right to accommodate a person walking in the opposite direction to pass without stepping off the sidewalk. The fourth rule of AU pedestrians is: You stand on the right side of a Metro escalator and allow others to pass on the left.
Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in heckling, pushing and rude gestures.
