When basketball player and current sophomore Andrija Matic established himself as a key rotation player last season, it gave the Eagles something they hadn’t had in years: a good, solid “big man.” Since Tony Wroblicky graduated in 2014, the AU men’s basketball team has struggled to find consistent frontcourt play.
Though just 5’11”, freshman point guard Sa’eed Nelson is making a huge impact on AU’s men’s basketball team this season. During Saturday afternoon’s 77-62 win against Youngstown State, Nelson led the team in scoring with 22 points on 9-17 shooting.
