Eagle grapplers split weekend duals

After a heartbreaking loss against Sacred Heart on Friday, the AU Men's wrestling team rebounded to defeat Wagner and split its weekend series. Sophomore Dwayne Hash-Barberis and freshman Josh Glenn picked up pins, and junior Muzaffar Abdurakhmanov and senior Daniel Waters each registered technical falls en route to a 34-21 victory over Wagner.

Eagles storm to league No. 2

After sweeping a pair of Patriot League home games this weekend, the AU Men's Basketball team isn't about to get ahead of itself. Having come into the weekend tied for third in the PL, the Eagles are now tied for second with Bucknell, with PL leader Holy Cross coming to D.

Women swimmers push AU to No. 2

It may have been the last home competition for AU Swimming and Diving seniors, but it was women underclassmen who took home the victories as the Eagles placed second in a triangular meet on Friday at Reeves Aquatic Center. First- and second-year women swimmers got four of AU's six first-place finishes as the men's and women's teams beat Howard but were topped by Old Dominion.

Williams leads women's b-ball to road-trip spoils

The AU Women's Basketball team split its second straight weekend, registering a road win at Bucknell Friday night before suffering one of its worst losses of the season, losing 67-45 at Colgate Sunday afternoon. "Today was just a poor effort," said Eagles coach Melissa McFerrin of Sunday's game.
