AUTO program stalls, revamps

After years of complications, AUTO Commissioner Nicholas Russotto suspended his program at the end of last semester to allow time for revamping.

ROASTING AWAY THE DAY — In the coming months, the Davenport Coffee Lounge will move to a new location in the soon-to-be-finished School of International Service building. Some customers and employees of the cafe said they are worried this upgraded locale will not have the same character.

Housing crunch leads to lottery for upperclassmen

Over winter break, on-campus residents received an e-mail from Executive Director of Housing and Dining Programs Chris Moody revealing changes to AU’s housing options. Upperclassmen will participate in a lottery to obtain on-campus housing for the fall. Honors and University College students will see changes to their protocol as well.








Roper Hall will house freshmen participating in the University College program.

Housing and Dining to overhaul housing allocation process

Housing and Dining Programs announced on Monday sweeping changes to how on-campus housing will be allocated, starting with the fall 2010 semester. In an e-mail to resident students, Executive Director of Housing and Dining Programs Chris Moody said his department expects a deficit of 200 beds for the fall semester.



SWINE LINE — Members of the AU community wait for the swine flu vaccine at a clinic run by the Student Health Center on Dec. 1 in the Mary Graydon Center. The Health Center has vaccinated over 2,000 people in its two day-long clinics and plans to hold another clinic on campus within the next two weeks.

The Washington College of Law offered the swine flu vaccine on Wednesday, bringing the total number of AU students, faculty and staff who have received the vaccine to approximately 2,000.
