Men’s soccer advances to Patriot League final with double overtime win over Bucknell

The AU men’s soccer team faced a similar situation to their first matchup against the Bucknell Bison on Friday afternoon. On Oct. 22, the Eagles trailed the Bison 1-0 at halftime and proceeded to force overtime and eventually win 3-2. In their second matchup with Bucknell this season, the Eagles hosted the semifinal match in the Patriot League tournament and again trailed at halftime. AU once again overcame the halftime deficit to force overtime and secure both a 2-1 victory and a place in the Patriot League championship game on Sunday.







​Brennan, players discuss changes in rotation and the NCAA rules at media day

Coming off a season that revealed many highs and lows, AU men’s basketball head coach Mike Brennan sat down in front of microphone on Oct. 29 to face questions from reporters during AU’s annual media day. Brennan and his team also allowed local media members into practice during the event, and players fielded questions about conference opponents, roster adjustments and leadership roles within the team.



Goal in final minutes sends women’s soccer past Lafayette

For the third game in a row and the fourth time in six games, the AU women’s soccer team battled into overtime in another tightly-contested matchup. But, for the first time this season, the Eagles emerged victorious against a conference opponent, squeaking out a 2-1 win over Lafayette after a winning goal from senior forward Kelly Donovan shortly before time ran out.




No. 21 AU men's soccer upsets No. 17 Hofstra University

In a matchup against its highest-ranked opponent this season, AU emerged victorious and held on to an NCAA Division I Top 25 ranking Friday evening. Facing No. 17 Hofstra University at Reeves Field in the first game of the Capitol Cup, sophomore forward Joel Hart secured two goals to lead the No. 21 Eagles past the previously undefeated Hofstra Pride (4-1, 0-0 CAA).
