In the Sept. 30 issue of The Eagle, an opinion piece by Joshua Wu titled "Accuracy of the Bible is unrivaled as a text" was printed on Page 6 in the Editorial-Opinion section. The Eagle has since learned that the column's arguments are taken from those in the book "The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict" by Josh McDowell, and were not attributed. Also, several sentences in Wu's piece are very similar to those in McDowell's book.

Due to a temporary shortage of funds, the Army Corps of Engineers stopped excavating at Lot 18, an area on the South Side of campus encompassing land around the Public Safety and the Financial Aid buildings. Total shut down of the dig site occurred by Aug. 25, according to the Corps' daily reports online.

The police blotter is compiled from the daily crime log issued by the Department of Public Safety. During the school year, incidents from Friday through Wednesday are printed in the Thursday edition, while incidents from Wednesday and Thursday appear in the Monday edition. This police blotter includes crimes that occurred since the last print edition of The Eagle, published June 21. Please direct questions to the campus news editor at Campus@TheEagleOnline.com.

Construction on the Katzen Arts Center and other projects around campus are proceeding as scheduled this summer, which means students will be greeted by new carpets and new concrete, moved earth and moved offices when they return for the fall.

AU alumna Kristen Cornwall is five years ahead of herself. Cornwall, who graduated this May with a degree in theater, began the summer intending to direct a show. She planned on eventually going to graduate school for directing, then starting her own theater company some time five years down the line. But a twist of fate and some disappointing producers changed her plans.
