The AU community should experience a faster Internet connection on campus following the Office of Information Technology’s recent renovations to the campus network.
OIT has increased the University’s internet bandwidth, increasing on-campus Internet’s speed by 250 percent, according to a newsletter from OIT.
The new network should also be more secure and reliable, according to Hassan Marvi, the director of network operations.
The University decided to upgrade the bandwidth based on OIT’s monitoring of internet usage and the campus community’s concern about the slow internet response time, Marvi said.
