Governors Pawlenty and Richardson will speak at All-American Weekend

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson will speak at AU on Oct. 20 during All-American Weekend.

Pawlenty previously served two terms as Minnesota’s governor from 2003 to 2011 and was a contender for the Republican nominee for president in 2012.

The native Minnesotan was also a member in his state’s House of Representatives for 10 years.

He became the CEO of the Financial Services Roundtable after dropping his job as co-chairman for Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s campaign on Sept. 20.

Richardson served as the governor of New Mexico from 2002 to 2011 and was a contender for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008.

Prior to his governorship, Richardson served as the ambassador to the United Nations in 1997 and as the U.S. Department of Energy secretary in 1998.

Kennedy Political Union will be hosting this event.
