A Panera Bread restaurant will move into the vacant building on the corner of Albemarle and Wisconsin Avenues, between the Tenleytown-AU Metro station and Payless ShoeSource store.
The building, located at 4501 Wisconsin Ave. NW, is new and has never had a tenant before, according to George Pedas, vice president of Circle Management, the company that owns the building.
Pedas has been working with Panera to open a branch there for about six months, he said.
Construction was completed about a year ago.
Further details will be available next week, Pedas said.
