Man breaks into three Avalon apartments

A man broke into three unlocked apartments in the Avalon Foxhall building in the 4100 block of Massachusetts Avenue early this morning, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The man put his hands on two women’s legs and ran away, according to an ABC 7 broadcast. In the third apartment, he was seen entering the room and ran.

The contact was not sexual in nature, according to Sgt. Raul Mendez, an MPD public information officer.

The incident is being considered a burglary because there the apartments were occupied at the time of the break-in, between 6 and 7 a.m., Mendez said. Nothing was stolen.

The suspect is described as a white or Asian male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a medium build, according to a TBD report. He was wearing a dark colored jacket or coat, with a shiny finish, and dark colored pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 202-715-7355 or 202-730-1903.
