After an extended delay in election results due to a technical error, three out of four winning write-in candidates accepted their elected positions Wednesday for this year’s Student Government fall elections.
Those who have accepted seats in the SG Undergraduate Senate include:
- Roger Deming, junior in the School of Public Affairs, for a Class of 2012 seat
- Bart Thompson, a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, for a Class of 2012 seat
- Noah Gray, a freshman in the School of Communication, for the SOC seat
Anthony Dunham, the director of the Board of Elections, would not release the name of the fourth write-in winner who did not accept a seat in the Undergraduate Senate.
Dunham is going over the list of write-in candidates himself to assure no other candidates have been overlooked.
Anyone interested in taking senate seats that were not filled during the election can do so through an application and appointment process through the Undergraduate Senate.
The remaining positions include:
- One out of the five SG Senate seats for the Class of 2012
- All five SG Senate seats for the Class of 2011
- One of the two SG Senate seats for the College of Arts and Sciences
