Definitions of rape, stalking, sexual assault and sexual harassment were added to the definitions section of the conduct code.
M. “Rape”—any act of sexual intercourse or sexual penetration of any orifice of the body with a body part or other object that takes place against a person’s will or without consent or that is accompanied by coercion or the threat of bodily harm.
P. “Sexual assault”—conduct of a sexual nature, including, but not limited to, sexual contact or physical exposure directed at another person without consent;
Q. “Sexual harassment”—unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature…
R. “Stalking”—repeated, unwanted contact with any person, including contact by electronic means or by proxy, or the credible threat of repeated contact with the intent to place a reasonable person in fear for his or her safety or the safety of his or her family or close acquaintances.

A five-page section about sexual assault and other sexual misconduct was added to the code. Sexual assault, harassment and rape were added to the section of the code listing prohibited conduct.
“Sexual misconduct includes, but is not limited to, rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment. It can occur by or against any person, regardless of their sex. Students who experience these crimes should not be blamed for the actions committed against them. Sexual assault and rape occur in a variety of situations; on a university campus most sexual assaults are between people who know each other, and they tend to involve the consumption of alcohol.
