Police blotter

NOV. 17

Money and two bankcards were taken from a locker in the Jacobs Fitness Center. The complainant is unsure as to whether he had properly secured the locker. Later, a card was fraudulently used.

NOV. 21

A resident assistant reported an intoxicated student vomiting in a Hughes Hall stairway. The individual indicated he was at an unknown location off campus and drank seven shots of hard liquor since 9 p.m. The D.C. Fire Department transported the individual to a hospital.

During an event in MGC, an individual was disorderly and was escorted out.

NOV. 23

A shuttle bus operator reported an unidentified female passenger fell as she exited a bus near the Washington College of Law. The female did not wish medical attention and gave no information about her identity. No injuries were noticed.

An individual called the Washington College of Law and asked for an individual by name. The complainant advised the caller had the wrong number and there was no one there by that name. The caller called at least five additional times from several different numbers.

NOV. 24

An unidentified individual was seen throwing paint on a wall, ceiling, couch, and carpet in the 2nd floor north lounge in Anderson Hall. The suspect and another unidentified suspect ran from the area. Aramark and Facilities Management responded.

NOV. 25

DPS discovered a ceiling light that appeared to have been torn down by an unknown truck in the tunnel. Facilities Management personnel responded.

An intoxicated individual assaulted a resident assistant in Letts and destroyed university property.

A resident assistant reported vandalism on the sixth floor of Anderson. A Plexiglas fire extinguisher case was broken and foam expelled inside of it. Foam was also on a bulletin board and an “Exit” sign. Two dry erase boards were ripped from room doors. Paper décor was partially ripped from a bulletin board. Aramark was contacted.

An employee reported seeing a known shoplifter inside the campus bookstore. The suspect left immediately after being seen by the employee.

NOV. 26

Graffiti was discovered on several doors and a wall on the fourth floor of Letts.

NOV. 30

Two resident directors detected a strong odor emanating from a student’s room in Letts. The resident directors conducted an administrative search. Marijuana and other drug paraphernalia were confiscated. The items were given to DPS.

DEC. 1

A store manager reported two individuals walking around in the Eagles’ Nest possibly attempting to shoplift. After speaking with both individuals, DPS advised them they were not being barred at this time but would be escorted off campus.

An unattended iPod was taken from a cardio machine in the Sports Center.

Reportedly, a student was present in Anderson, an area in which he had previously been barred. DPS located the student in the Letts-Anderson Quad (an area not included in the barring notice). The student denied being in Anderson Hall. At the request of a resident director, the student was barred from all residence halls and the LA Quad.

Using a fire extinguisher, DPS extinguished a trash can fire in front of Ward. No damage was reported.
