Sept. 10

An ambulance transported a sick person in Mary Graydon Center to the hospital.

A bike lock was cut and a bicycle was taken from a bike rack outside of the Kay Spiritual Life Center.

The D.C. Fire Department transported a sick person outside of McCabe Hall to the hospital.

Graffiti was discovered on adjacent hallway walls inside of Centennial Hall. A resident assistant indicated she would contact Aramark to have it removed.

Sept. 11

A resident assistant reported a suspicious odor emanating from a residence hall room in Anderson Hall. Department of Public Safety officers responded and confirmed marijuana was present in the room. DPS confiscated the marijuana and associated paraphernalia.

A bicycle was taken from a bike rack outside Letts Hall. The bike had been secured with a chain lock.

A “Dodge” car emblem was taken from the front of a vehicle as it was parked either at the Nebraska Parking Lot or the Tenley Parking Lot. The complainant had parked the vehicle at both places during the time span in which the theft occurred.

DPS responded to a report of an unconscious student inside Federal Hall. Upon arrival, the student was conscious and semi-coherent. There were copious amounts of vomit on the floor and on items in the room. The student appeared inebriated and said he consumed vodka. DCFD transported him to the hospital.

A resident director reported a student was extremely intoxicated inside Anderson Hall. Reportedly, the student did not know what day it was or her date of birth. DCFD transported the individual to the hospital.

DPS responded to a complaint regarding an employee in one of the tunnel shops.

Sept. 12

A resident director reported an intoxicated student in a woman’s room. DPS found the student conscious and coherent. She signed a medical refusal form and returned to her room.

DPS responded to the report of an assault in Anderson Hall.

A community coordinator contacted DPS when a Berkshire security officer noted excessive noise coming from an apartment in the Berkshire Apartments since 2200 hours. When the door opened, they noticed the apartment was occupied by several individuals. They noticed numerous beer cans and individuals were consuming alcoholic beverages in the room. A student indicated she was the assigned resident of the apartment and admitted to hosting a party with alcoholic beverages present. All the occupants complied with requests to leave the premises.

A student in Federal Hall advised DPS he lit a match inside of his room and threw it inside of a trash can. When he noticed the trash inside the can started smoking he took the can outside the building where it was extinguished. A witness reported the incident to DPS. The student took responsibility for the incident and stated the contents of the can igniting was accidental. A resident director responded to the scene. DCFD was not contacted.

Two female residents in Anderson Hall were in their beds when they heard someone knock on a window. They saw an unidentified male standing there looking at them. They yelled at the suspect. The suspect placed a finger over his mouth in a silencing motion. The victims left the room, returned with a male friend and saw the suspect still standing outside the window looking in. The male yelled at the suspect. The suspect fled. DPS searched the area with negative results. A resident assistant was notified.

Sept. 13

DPS responded to a report of a drug violation in Centennial Hall. DPS took the drugs and paraphernalia into custody.

DPS observed several individuals fighting one another inside Mary Graydon Center. Some of the combatants fled the scene upon the officer’s intervention. Four combatants complied with the officer’s directives and remained on the scene. They claimed they did not know the individuals they were fighting. They complied with additional DPS directives to leave the university.

Exterior rear view mirrors were knocked off a parked car on two separate occasions in Centennial Garage.

Sept. 14

A bicycle was taken from a bike rack in the tunnel. The bike had been secured with a combination lock.

A victim noticed someone riding what appeared to be the victim’s bicycle outside Nebraska Hall. The victim walked to a bike rack and noticed her bike and chain lock had been taken.

Sept. 15

DPS discovered missing letters from a sign on the exterior of Federal Hall. Facilities Management was notified.

A bicycle was stolen outside of the McKinley Building.

A bicycle was stolen outside Hurst Hall. The bike had been secured to a tree with a cable and combination lock.

A student discovered his vehicle was damaged (“keyed”) while parked in the Nebraska Lot.
