Man hospitalized after wrecking barstool

Police are charging a Newark, Ohio, man with drunken driving after he crashed a motorized barstool, MSNBC.com reported Tuesday.

Kile Wygle was hospitalized after wrecking the barstool, which was powered by a lawnmower engine, MSNBC reported. He told the police the barstool could travel as fast as 38 miles per hour.

Wygle told an officer at the hospital that he had drunk 15 beers before the accident, police told MSNBC. In a later interview with a reporter, Wygle said he had only drunk after the accident.

Wygle has pleaded not guilty to the drunken driving charge, according to MSNBC.
