Police blotter

March 18

The Metropolitan Police Department, D.C. Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services and the Department of Public Safety responded to a report of an intoxicated individual in Anderson Hall. Upon arrival, the individual was unconscious and unresponsive but breathing on her own. Her roommate indicated the sick person had consumed two bottles of wine in their room. DCFD and EMS transported the sick person to the hospital.

DCFD and EMS transported a semiconscious, incoherent and heavily intoxicated student in the Centennial Hall garage to the hospital. The student was found face-down in a mulch area.

A resident assistant observed a suspect knock over three trashcans in the vicinity of Letts-Anderson quad. The RA identified him. The incident will be referred to Judicial Affairs and Mediation Services.

A computer keyboard wire and stereo speaker wire were cut in an office in Bender Arena, which was left secured.

A community member reported that while abroad visiting another country, another community member constantly harassed her. Public Safety gathered information and generated a report.

Graffiti was found spray-painted in the northern fifth-floor stairwell in Centennial. Spray paint was also found on the right connecting wall.

A DCFD ambulance transported an individual in the Katzen Arts Center to the hospital. The individual fell and injured her ankle during dance practice.

March 19

A witness reported an unconscious student in Federal Hall. A DCFD ambulance transported the sick person to the hospital.

A complainant stated an unknown male inappropriately touched her on the outside of her leg while they were on an AU shuttle bus. She could not give a description, other than that he appeared to be older than a student and may have been homeless. She exited the shuttle after the contact. MPD and Public Safety responded to the call.

March 21

Three urinal stall partitions in a men's restroom on the mezzanine level of Bender Arena were torn down. Facilities Management staff were notified. A suspect has been identified and JAMS charges will be filed.

Public Safety saw two individuals urinating on the side of Letts Hall. Officers advised the suspect that the incident would be referred to JAMS.

March 22

Adderall and a Razor scooter were taken from a room in Anderson, which the victim frequently left unattended and unsecured.

While on routine patrol, Public Safety officers discovered graffiti on a wall near stairs leading from the emergency exit to the LA quad.

March 23

An unattended guitar was destroyed in an unlocked room in Anderson.

A student discovered his AU identification card missing shortly after using it in the Mary Graydon Center. The student cancelled the card and checked his EagleBuck$ statement and found a charge he did not make.

A Public Safety aide administered a ticket to a vehicle in the Nebraska lot. The owner returned and began to yell and harassed the aide for issuing the ticket. A report was taken and JAMS charges will be filed.


Section 202 host Gabrielle and friends go over some sports that aren’t in the sports media spotlight often, and review some sports based on their difficulty to play.
