"Stolen" bulldozer found buried

A bulldozer reported stolen more than 10 years ago was found buried under a Texas golf course, The Dallas Morning News reported.

The bulldozer had been used to construct the golf course in Weatherford, Texas, and was reported stolen in 1996, according to the Morning News.

An employee of the golf course was fertilizing the course's 13th fairway when he saw part of the bulldozer and contacted authorities. Course owners Wes and Stan Mickle could face insurance fraud charges, a detective with the Tarrant Regional Auto Crime Task Force told the Morning News.

A tractor reported stolen from the golf course at the same time as the bulldozer has not been found.
