A carjacking suspect shot at police Thursday night at Third and Upshur streets N.W. after the police attempted to stop the suspect's car, The Washington Post reported.
Authorities said a man wearing a ski mask and black clothing forced a woman out of her SUV at the 300 block of Taylor Street, N.E. shortly before 8 p.m., according to the Post.
The stolen SUV was spotted by police shortly after. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspect pulled over and got out of the car. The suspect fired twice at the officers as he escaped on foot, the Post reported.
