RCN Corporation became Thursday one of the newest official sponsors of AU Athletics.
RCN is a top supplier of video, data and voice services to residential and business customers and is now AU's official cable television, Internet and telephone sponsor for all of its athletic events, according to the press release.
The company will be known as a "TEAM AU" level partner, in terms of the amount of exposure and promotion it will have at all home athletic events.
Signs for the company will be centrally displayed in Bender Arena, Reeves Field and Jacob Recreation Complex. RCN will also be mentioned in radio, television, Internet, print advertising and game public announcements and print materials of athletic events, according to the press release.
"AU Athletics is thrilled to have RCN join our TEAM AU family of sponsors," said Robert Sherman, assistant athletics director for marketing and corporate partnerships. "Their support of our student athletes and athletic programs is tremendous for the entire AU community."
RCN also has partnerships with D.C. United, Georgetown University Athletics and the Patriot Center at George Mason University.
