Metro: Waterfront-SEU (green line) This play tells the story of a one-night stand between Frankie, a waitress, and Johnny, a short-order cook. The 25th Annual Smithsonian Crafts Show 10 a.m.-7 p.m. through April 21 11 a.m.-5 p.m. April 22 National Building Museum, 401 F St. N.W. Metro: Judiciary Square (red line) Visit the country's most prestigious judged display and sale of modern American crafts at the 25th Annual Smithsonian Crafts Show. The fair features limited edition craft objects in 12 different media: basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art and wood. Bethesda Literary Festival Through Sunday, April 22 Metro: Bethesda (red line) Downtown Bethesda hosts its annual festival with novelists, poets, journalists and children's authors. Event highlights include listening to NPR Senior News Analyst and journalist Cokie Roberts as she discusses her career and bestselling book at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Also on Saturday, Comedy Central comedians and performers from the D.C. Improv perform at The Barking Dog at 8 p.m. All events are free and open to the public. Tim Gunn from Bravo's "Project Runway" 3 p.m. Politics and Prose Bookstore, 5015 Connecticut Ave. N.W. Metro: Tenleytown (red line) Tim Gunn, the fashion authority from Bravo's popular fashion design reality show "Project Runway" will be promoting his new book, "A Guide to Quality, Taste, and Style." Gunn is a native of Washington, D.C., and worked in the city's Corcoran Gallery before working at New York's Parsons The New School for Design. White House Spring Garden Tour 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 21 Noon-4 p.m. Sunday, April 22 Through Sunday, April 22 The White House Visitor's Center, 1450 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W. Metro: McPherson Square (blue and orange lines) The White House Spring Garden Tour has been a tradition since 1972. The tour visits the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, the Rose Garden, the Children's Garden and the South Lawn of the White House. From the South Lawn, the military bands perform from a White House balcony. The event is free but tickets are required for entry, which are distributed both days at 8 a.m. at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion.
