Ambassador Hoon will speak about the ongoing situation in Sudan. Hoon assumed charge of the U.S. embassy in Khartoum on October 18, 2005. He has more than three decades of diplomatic experience, including service as ambassador to South Africa and Algeria. Tickets cost $25, which includes a reception.

Aerosmith, Joaquin Phoenix appear at "Turning Peace into Political Force"

The Peace Alliance presents a night of education and support for legislation to create a U.S. Department of Peace. There will be special appearances by Steve Tyler of Aerosmith and Academy Award-winner Joaquin Phoenix, as well as U.S. House Representatives Dennis Kucinich. Student tickets cost $10.

Paco de Lucia

Paco de Lucia has become synonymous with flamenco music, incorporating Spanish influences with newer styles like jazz and rock. This performance will feature de Lucia on guitar. Tickets cost $35.

National Symphony Orchestra

Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, 2700 F St. N.W.

Members of the National Symphony Orchestra perform a Mendelssohn Piano Trio.

The performance is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

A free shuttle operates between the Foggy Bottom Metro station and the Kennedy Center approximately every 15 minutes.

"Paris in Transition: Photographs from the National Gallery of Art"

National Gallery of Art, between Third and Seventh streets at Constitution Avenue N.W.

This exhibit features photographs from the 19th- and 20th-century Paris, celebrating the visual riches of the city and the tensions of its portrayal as both a modern capital and a nostalgic city. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Flea Market at Eastern Market boasts antiques, arts, collectibles, crafts, fresh meats, cheeses, produce and baked goods by local vendors. The Flea Market at Eastern Market has received wide recognition for the quality and diversity of its exhibitor and product mix.


Section 202 host Gabrielle and friends go over some sports that aren’t in the sports media spotlight often, and review some sports based on their difficulty to play.
