AU grad's film selected for Sundance
"Girl 27," a documentary co-produced by Lindsay Webster, a 2003 graduate of the School of Communication, was selected to compete in the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.
The documentary tells the story of an underage dancer who was raped at a MGM party in 1937. The rape was subsequently covered up by the studio according to "Variety," an online movie database.
"Just because you're not in L.A. doesn't mean you can't build the skills you would need in L.A.," Webster said, according to the SOC Web site.
The Sundance Film Festival is an annual competition that takes place in Utah and honors a variety of film genres including documentaries, shorts and other types of films.
