The Katzen Caf? opened Monday outside the American University Museum in the Katzen Arts Center.
The caf? menu includes sandwiches, espresso drinks, sodas, snacks, muffins and croissants, said caf? employee Chaunta Edmond.
It is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The same retailer that owns MegaBytes Caf?, American Caf? and the Mud Box operates the new caf?.
Rachel Friedmann, assistant director of the AU Museum, said the coffee shop is a positive addition.
"I think people will stick around a little longer because people always ask where to get a bite to eat," she said.
