This Tuesday, Sept. 12, is Election Day for the highly contested D.C. mayoral race, and the most attention in the race has been given to the five candidates with the most money and highest recognition: Michael A. Brown, Linda Cropp, Adrian M. Fenty, Marie C. Johns and Vincent Orange, according to The Washington Post.
However, four other candidates are also optimistic about their chances in the polls, including Democrats Nestor Djonkam and Artee Milligan, Republican David W. Kranich and Chris Otten of the Statehood Green Party.
Although these four less publicized candidates' platforms vary, they all have the same goal of getting their messages across with the least amount of money and staff and remain optimistic at overcoming odds at the polls, according to The Post.
