Campus brief: University College program celebrates start of second year

University College entered its second year as a pilot program at AU this fall.

University College, which requires a separate application, "is a unique and challenging first-year academic experience that combines class work with residence life and exciting opportunities for supervised learning activities in Washington, D.C.," according to its Web site.

This year's University College has around 200 students. There are 50 more students than last year and two additional seminars. There are 10 University College programs, all revolving around general education courses.

All program participants live on the same floor and have a program assistant who is an older student who works with the program.

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
