Campus brief: Search continues for GLBTA Center director

The Office of Campus Life continues to search for a director of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Ally Resource Center, according to a memo from Gail Hanson, vice president of Campus Life.

The previous director, Mindy Michels, left the office in February. Two past search efforts led by Associate Dean of Students Sara Waldon garnered several impressive candidates, but the hiring committee could not come to a consensus, according to the memo.

The search picks up again this spring under the direction of Chris Moody, associate director of guest and visitor services in Housing and Dining Programs. There will be a focused effort to find a candidate through networking at the "Creating Change" conference this November in Kansas City.

Many members of the Campus Life staff and GLBTA community at AU will be involved in the selection process, according to the memo.

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
