The Olive Branch Panel on the Development of Discrimination 8-9:30 p.m., Butler Board Room

Come and take part in a panel-led discussion regarding discrimination in the US. Professors and community leaders will be there to give their opinions on how far we have come and how far we still need to go to give equal rights to all Americans. New Plays Workshop Series: Penelope Through 3 Apr., 7 p.m., Katzen Arts Center, Studio Theatre. This play reading, directed by Gail Humphries Mardirosian, tells the story of The Odyssey from the point of view of Penelope, Odysseus's wife. "Human Rights Implications of Hurricane Katrina: Six Months Later" 9 a.m.-5 p.m., WCL. The response to Hurricane Katrina spotlighted issues of class, race, and poverty in the United States. Six months later, it's time to assess how the rebuilding and restoration efforts have implicated human rights concerns. Sponsored by the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
