National brief: High school student shoots one, injures two

A Tennessee high school student shot and killed an assistant principal and injured two other administrators Tuesday, according to The Washington Post.

Campbell County High School Assistant Principal Ken Bruce was fatally wounded in the chest during the shooting. Principal Gary Seale was shot in the lower abdomen, and Assistant Principal Jim Pierce was shot in the chest. Both were listed in serious condition as of Tuesday afternoon.

"I don't know what he was thinking or what his motives were," Sheriff Ron McClellan said. The suspect's identity has yet to be released.

The teen, who was said to be 15, was arrested. Authorities are unsure whether he will be charged as a juvenile or an adult.
