A former Jamba Juice employee was arrested yesterday after attacking AU President Len Badner after Badner refused to give him back his job.
The ex-employee Rodney J. Juice jumped over Badner's desk, grabbed him by the collar and held him in a chokehold, according to a Public Safety report.
Badner said he was startled by the incident but did not fear for his life.
"Rodney is very intimidating, but I knew he couldn't seriously hurt me," Badner said. "He's too skinny, and I'm relatively buff."
Rodney verbally abused Badner, calling him "a 15-point ..." The rest of the statement was indiscernible, according to the report.
Rodney proclaimed his innocence as he was escorted to a Metro Police Department squad car.
"I ain't guilty! Badner don't know what he doing!" he screamed raspily.
Most Tavern workers said they were happy Rodney was behind bars.
"He was the rudest, most abusive person I'd ever met," said one Chick Fil-A employee.
An American Pi cook agreed. "We at American Pi don't bark at the students," he said. "We know the Tavern is loud, so we try to get their attention by overcoming the noise without rudeness."
Rodney made one poor girl cry last semester.
"It was awful," she said. "I, like, burst into tears because he told me I was dumb for not remembering what smoothie I ordered. At least, I think he said 'dumb.'"
However, most students said they miss their favorite Jamba Juice employee.
"He is greatly missed by many AU students and faculty," said SG president Tollhouse Knish. "Our thoughts are with him through this hard time."
Other students said they missed Rodney's mannerisms more than anything else.
"I miss the way he used to yell numbers like 'numbah nahnty-nahn!'" said an one Tavern loving student.
Badner said the students who want to bring Rodney back to AU are "misled lambs" who are not being taught properly about the riches capitalism brings.
"One day, when they make too much money to count, they'll see why I fired an efficient but rude employee," he said. "It's all part of my 15-point plan"
