Police Blotter: from bad driving to burying keg

Wednesday, Nov. 10 The U.S. Capitol Police reported to Public Safety that a female AU student visiting the U.S. Capitol building was caught with two pipes at a security checkpoint. Capitol Police tested the pipes for marijuana, but the tests came back inconclusive.

A female staff member required a hospital transport from Butler Pavilion to Sibley Hospital for a gastrointestinal illness.

A female student reported a second-degree sexual offense that occurred on Oct. 12 to Public Safety. Housing and Dining Programs is investigating the situation.

Thursday, Nov. 11 A male student reported items missing from his room in Letts Hall after he returned from the shower. His door was unlocked and there were no signs of forced entry. MPD is investigating the situation.

Public Safety pulled over a female student in the Sports Center garage for driving erratically. She had no identification. Public Safety issued multiple citations.

A female student required a hospital transport from Centennial Hall to Sibley Hospital for breathing difficulties.

Friday, Nov. 12 Public Safety noticed four students with shovels and a keg of beer in a wooded area. The students were identified and charged with an alcohol violation for attempting to bury the keg near the varsity track area for use at a soccer game.
