Wednesday, Sept. 22

Destruction of property was reported around Leonard Hall. The Wesley Seminary gate's wiring was damaged.

Threats were reported from the Tunnel as an employees from the Eagle's Nest and McDonald's engaged in a verbal altercation. The conflict did not escalate beyond threatening statements.

A female student reported receiving harassing messages over an instant messaging service. The messages were reported to be vulgar and offensive.

Thursday, Sept. 24

A theft was reported from the e-operations offices on Wisconsin Avenue. E-operations reported a laptop missing from its offices. They are unsure of the time of the theft and place it between Sept. 16 and Sept. 22.

An auto theft was reported by a Federal Express employee. The missing vehicle was a rental truck taken after the keys had been reportedly left in the ignition.

A bike theft was reported from outside the Ward Circle Building. There was no sign of damage to the bike's lock apart from the fact that it was found open on the ground.

Friday, Sept. 25

Medical transportation was refused by a female student in Leonard Hall. The student apparently had mixed alcohol and medications and was suffering from side effects of the combination.

Disorderly conduct was reported from the main Quad. Public safety observed three male students, two of whom were urinating on a panda statue. The students were stopped and identified, and may be face judicial charges in the near future.

A Public Safety officer observed a male individual staggering across the general area of the Main Quad. When stopped he was found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol.

A medical transport was needed from AU's Tenley campus. A male student fell on the athletic field and broke his collarbone.

An AU student living off campus reported suspicious activity. The female student reported that a male approached her claiming to be an insurance salesman. He claimed to have received her address from AU. Public Safety reports that it did not give out the address, as it does not have her current address on file.

Saturday, Sept. 26

Public Safety observed two male students passing a lit cigarette between each other around the McKinley Building. The cigarette tested positive as marijuana.

A hospital transport was needed outside the SIS annex. A male student was found to be intoxicated and ill.

A verbal altercation began outside Anderson Hall between two groups of males. One of the groups left briefly, but upon return the verbal altercation was reinitiated and escalated into a shoving match.

Sunday, Sept. 27

Vandalism was reported on the Main Quad. A female student reported a male student knocking over the panda statues. She attempted to stop him, and when he ignored her she reported him to Public Safety.

Second-degree sexual assault was reported from Congressional Hall. The Metropolitan Police Department is involved and working on the case.

Theft of services was reported from the Sports Center garage. Transportation services found four vehicles with false parking permits - all duplications of the same permit.

A stuck elevator was reported in the Mary Graydon Center. The D.C. Fire Department released the trapped occupant about one hour later.

A male student left his wallet in McDonald's and returned the next day to find it missing. Several reports of fraudulent use of his credit cards ensued.

Monday, Sept. 28

A Public Safety officer observed two male students attempting to toilet-paper the Easter Island statue outside McDowell Hall. They were stopped and the statue was cleaned.

A female student reported being harassed over the phone and then having some of her property tampered with.

A theft was reported from Anderson Hall. A female student reported someone attempting to gain access to her room. Public Safety responded and found that the person attempting to gain access to the room was an acquaintance of hers, a male non-AU student. He was seeking his property. She allowed him to look for it and then, as he was escorted out, found that some of her own property was missing.


Section 202 host Gabrielle and friends go over some sports that aren’t in the sports media spotlight often, and review some sports based on their difficulty to play.
