May 1 Hate Crime

This banana was one of those seen on campus on the morning of May 1. It was found outside the Hurst building by Quinn Dunlea, a senior in the School of Public Affairs. The FBI is investigating the incident as a hate crime.

Bananas were found outside Hurst bearing the words "Harambe" and "AKA," referring to the predominately African-American sorority that has a chapter at AU.
