AU volleyball strengthens grasp on first place with weekend wins

The AU volleyball team carried momentum coming off a weeklong break to win crucial Patriot League matchups against both Army West Point (16-9, 9-3 PL) and Holy Cross (4-21, 1-11 PL). The Army West Point Black Knights came into the matchup at 8-2 in the Patriot League, a record that could challenge AU for first place in the standings.

Zero Waste launches new composting program

After a summer of work, the student-led Zero Waste Club and Zero Waste coordinators in the facilities management department have launched a new compost program aimed at making composting easier for students. Grace Pugh, co-president of the club, said AU had previously lost its composting contract in November 2014 due to high contamination levels, especially in residence halls.
