Alum and AU professor takes the stage in signature theatre production of ‘She Loves Me’

Professor Katherine Riddle is doing more than an average nine-to-five job. She balances both her teaching career and performing eight shows a week in “She Loves Me” at the Signature Theatre from Tuesday to Sunday. On Mondays, she teaches private lessons as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, American University.

‘DANCEWORKS’ returns to the Greenberg Theatre after two years of virtual performances

When the curtain went up for DANCEWORKS 2022 earlier this April, it was the first time the AU Dance Company performed their spring dance concert in-person since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. The show, which ran April 8-9, featured four pieces, each distinct in their style and choreography. 


District of Cinema Episode 26: Most Anticipated Movies of the Summer

In the final episode of the semester, Spenser, Koz and Tristan list the summer releases they are most excited about. They then bid farewell to Editor-in-Chief Clare Mulroy by subtly roasting her favorite movies. Finally, they thank the multimedia and online team at The Eagle and all the contributors of the podcast so far. Koz can't wait for "Minions: The Rise of Gru," and Spenser learns about the secret Buzz Lightyear movie, the fitting watch to prepare for this summer's "Lightyear."






Faculty, students reflect on SPA ranking tenth among public affairs graduate programs

American University’s School of Public Affairs ranked tenth in U.S. News & World Report’s evaluation of the best public affairs graduate programs in the country. The ranking signifies the second consecutive year that SPA has received the highest rating among public affairs schools in D.C. 


Opinion: AU’s sendoff for the women’s basketball team was great, let’s keep it going

American University’s women’s basketball team recently won the Patriot League Championship and was awarded a bid to the March Madness tournament. President Sylvia Burwell and AU celebrated this accomplishment with a sending-off ceremony and multiple social media posts. It was a fantastic celebration of an amazing accomplishment and AU should be doing that more often.
