AU celebrated the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this week with a day of service and a check presentation that culminated the week's efforts.

Low-cost airline Independence Air, which some AU students said was doomed from its beginning two years ago, permanently grounded all flights last week, disrupting travel plans for some students returning from the winter holiday resulting in fewer travel options and higher prices on other airlines.
The Catholic Community Choir performed their second annual Christmas Concert on Saturday in the Battelle-Tompkins Atrium. The choir sang traditional Christmas songs such as "Angels We Have Heard on High," "O Holy Night" and "Joy to the World."

The Eagle Endowment for Public and Community Service, a grant program for AU students to put their community service ideas into action, had its annual meal swipe event in the Terrace Dining Room Wednesday to raise money for the program.
Students were encouraged to get up and clap their hands to the beat of AU's Gospel Choir Saturday afternoon as part of the group's annual Christmas concert in the Kay Spiritual Life Center.

As students returned to campus this week following the Thanksgiving holiday, many were welcomed back by thoughts of finals and the upcoming holiday season, which both have the potential to cause stress.
The 280-seat Kay Spiritual Life Center was packed to standing room only capacity for a memorial service honoring the life of Class of 2005 President Chris Salazar Thursday evening.
