As many of you may know, or be personally experiencing, the Jewish holiday of Passover is upon us. It's hard not to eat the usual carbohydrate-filled diet for these eight days. But this year, I'm taking it as a challenge to eat better and make matzo tolerable.

Crêpes are probably one of the easiest yet most impressive things to make. When I told my roommates (and very excited taste-testers) that these treats would be the subject of this week’s article, they went absolutely wild. We ended up making sweet crêpes, but this simple dish can really be used with any sort of flavoring.
Eating out of a vending machine really isn’t satisfying. Every now and then I need a Butterfinger just as much as the next person, but it doesn’t take too much effort to make something that tastes so much better. These are all very easy and quick options for making yourself a delicious meal or snack from things that you do, or probably should, have in your fridge.
It’s surprising how easy it is to make delicious sauces rather then buying the stuff in jars. There are also a lot more options of sauces that you can make with a roux.
Unfortunately for all of us, Tavern no longer makes quesadillas. Last year, I would go get a quesadilla every Sunday afternoon and watch football or whatever other sport they had on. I’m trying to keep the tradition alive, but salad is not sufficient sports-watching food.
It’s time for a kitchen upgrade, y’all! No, I’m not Paula Deen, but I am done with the stereotypical college diet of ramen noodles and pizza.
