Roy Wood Jr., a correspondent on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,” will perform in the Tavern on Saturday, Jan. 26, the Student Union Board announced this week. Doors for the event will open at 6:30 p.m.

Ali Clayton, a NBC Stand Up Showcase finalist, will open the show. The rest of the evening will be hosted by local DMV comedian Fernando Madrigal.

The night of comedy is SUB and Kennedy Political Union’s first event of the semester. Admission is free for AU students, and students need their AUID to enter.

Wood is known for hosting Comedy Central’s “This is Not Happening,” a storytelling TV show featuring stand-up comedians. He will release his latest one-hour comedy special, “No One Loves You,” on the same network on Friday, Jan. 25.
