Netflix brings Luke’s Diner to D.C. for a “Gilmore Girls” celebration

Experience a cup of coffee like a Gilmore for the show’s 16th anniversary

Gilmore Girls fans rejoice: You can finally get your caffeine fix just like Lorelai and Rory do at Luke’s Diner. On Oct. 5, three northwest D.C. cafes will transform into the Stars Hollow hangout. Flying Fish Coffee & Tea, Qualia Coffee and Three Fifty Bakery and Coffee Bar will serve free coffee with custom Gilmore Girls themed coffee sleeves from 7 a.m. to noon (while supplies last). Oct. 5 marks the 16th anniversary of the Gilmore Girls series premiere, and signals just over a month and a half left until Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life”premieres on Netflix on Nov. 25.

In July, Netflix announced the premiere of four new Gilmore Girls episodes to its streaming platform so fans all over the country can prepare for the much-anticipated release with this opportunity to step inside their favorite fictional diner. Over 200 locations nationwide will be participating in this celebration, serving free coffee along with unique features from the show, such as employees decked out in Luke’s Diner aprons and t-shirts. Coffee lovers and Gilmore Girls fans alike should arrive early to the pop-up diners for free coffee, surprises from Netflix and a one-of-a-kind experience on Wednesday.
